💎Minecraft Rules💎

⚒️Alt accounts: Alternate accounts may not be used to earn extra vote rewards, crate keys, load chunks, etc.

⚒️Claiming: Claim what is needed for your builds. Excessively large claims or spamming small claims across the map aren’t allowed, except those approved by a staff member.

  • Claims must be 100 blocks a part from another player.
  • Claims that have been inactive for 180 days or more will be purged; other players will be allowed to loot and or tear down your builds. If you have any questions regarding loot an unprotected base please ask a staff member.
  • Please see our /help menu in-game for more information on claiming.

⚒️Player Engagement: PvP must be consensual between both parties, it is disabled by default. Player trapping is not allowed.

⚒️Griefing: Destruction or theft of property is not tolerated. This includes from members of your own party/clan/guild. The only exception to this rule is listed above in the "claiming" clause.

⚒️Cheating: Cheating includes exploits, hacked clients, or any behavior that is not natively allowed by the Minecraft client or a Plugin. Mods that offer an unfair advantage such as xraying are also not allowed. You may have mini-maps and performance mods.

⚒️Lag: Intentionally causing lag for other players is prohibited. Please see the section below for more details.

⚒️AFK: Players may not create devices that bypass the AFK timer for farms, or any other activity. The use of auto clickers are also disallowed on the server.

There are many ways to cause lag on a Minecraft server. With each player that joins, that player loads it's own chunks, mobs and other entities; all of which contribute to a decrease in server performance. This includes mob farms and redstone projects. While there are no hard rules on what can, and cannot be done on the server as of now, that is subject to change once TPS is affected. Please read through these next few sections and act accordingly on the server so that we all can enjoy a lag-free experience.

💎Mobs & Mob Farms💎

  • Mobs = more processing power & RAM usage. It may not be an issue when 5 people are playing, but once a server fills up each player is loading and interacting with them (breeding, killing, etc), a server can see TPS drops. This is why you often see servers with reduced rendering and simulation distance, as well as lower spawning rates.
  • Eliminate unused villagers, only keep what you need. Prior to version 1.14.4 villagers were very CPU intensive. While this problem has been mostly fixed in subsequent versions having large amounts of villagers in a small area (or any mob for that matter) causes unnecessary stress on the server.
  • Eliminate unused mobs in player-created farms. There isn't a single number I can provide you that's the tipping point for a TPS drop. Simply put, if you have mob farms - do your best to space the mobs out, avoid cramming a bunch into a small area. You may be asked to cull some of them back.
  • Avoid spamming armor stands & item frames. I.e creating lag machines. Item frames are typically not problematic from a server performance POV, but they certainly can cause client-side lag when used in large amounts. Armor stands however can be a menace.

💎Redstone💎

Redstone, next to entities are the biggest sources of lag. The rules for redstone are simple:

  • Keep redstone projects at a reasonable size for personal use. You don't need to produce hundreds of double chests of an item.
  • Machines need to have an off-switch when it's not being used. Redstone machines are not to run continuously.
  • Reduce hoppers and minecarts used to collect items.
